Tax Filing Extension AnnouncementUPDATED March 20, 2020
U.S Treasury Secretary Steven Mnunchin announced today that Americans will have three additional months to file their taxes. The new deadline will be July 15, 2020. This is an addition to the previous announcement that allowed a delay in payments of any additional taxes due for 2019 returns without owing any penalty or interest. Taxpayers can still request a six-month extension to file returns, like they could in any other year. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
